The Manor House
Quinta da Póvoa keeps the presence of a typical XVI / XVIIth century
manor house of Douro, with a lovely view to the River Douro and the
dam of the Carrapatelo.
As most of these houses, Quinta da Povoa has two floors:
In the ground floor, the house keeps all the initial features such
as the chapel, cellars and granaries.
In the upper floor, the manor house has:
- Living room with sofa,fireplace, TV and small library.
- Double beedroom with ensuite bathroom
- Three twin bedrooms sharing two bathroom.
- Double bedroom. Adjacent shower room
- Dinning room with a table seating up to 12 people (with fireplace).
Doors opening onto small veranda with fantastic views over the river
and dam.

The primitive kitchen was converted to a large living / dinning room,
keeping the typical fireplace. Sofas, TV, HI-Fi and a table seating up
to
10 people. Doors opening onto the outside terrace.
The kitchen is available for use with all the domestic equipment: stove,
refrigerator, dishwashing machine and microwave.

The grounds are extensive with many kinds of fruit trees for natural
shade. Outside terrace with garden furniture and barbecue area.
The swimming pool
is 9,5 x 5 metres and the depth is from 1.20 to 1.80 metres.

There is
a separate cottage in the grounds of the house where the
maid lives. She is available for work in the house by local
arrangement.
The journey
from Oporto airport to the house will take about 1 hour by
car.
